George Noonan, Executive Director

George Noonan is currently the executive director of Duchesne and Saint Vincent Clinics. He brings more than 30 years of experience as a non-profit executive and has an extensive knowledge base of healthcare, stewardship, communications and development. Prior to this position he served as the vice president of Mission Integration and Support Services for Providence Medical Center and Saint John Hospital as well as the Chancellor of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. George’s board experience includes the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County, Catholic Health Association’s Mission Leader Advisory Council, Providence Place, Inc. and Physician Resources, Inc., Kansas City, Kan. A search for a permanent executive director is underway.


Noriko Okahara, DO, Interim Medical Director

Dr. Okahara has been named the Interim Medical Director of Duchesne and Saint Vincent Clinics. She began her affiliation with Duchesne in 2006 as a staff physician and was well received by patients and staff. She left briefly in 2010 when her husband accepted a fellowship position in San Diego, Calif. Dr. Okahara later returned in 2012 to resume her role as staff physician.

Dr. Okahara earned her medical degree from Midwestern University/Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 and her residency at UCSF Fresno Family and Community Medicine. Prior to that, she completed a Master’s degree in Public Health in Environmental Health from San Diego State University in 1998.  She received her undergraduate degree from John Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. She is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Okahara has more than 10 years of experience in private practice, especially in low income communities.  Her passion to help the poor and vulnerable comes from her experience when she and her family did not have much income, health insurance and no where to turn to when they became sick.

Besides her love for medicine, Dr. Okahara enjoys playing the piano, sewing, baking and making crafts with her children. She, her husband and their three daughters reside in Leawood, Kan.


Briana Cavinaw, Clinic Manager

Ms. Cavinaw has been with Saint Vincent Clinic since 2010. Ms. Cavinaw holds a B.S. degree from Emporia State University and has a background in social service. Ms. Cavinaw's work experiences ranges from working as a program manager at The Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City to working as a discharge planner at Lansing Correctional Facility. Ms. Cavinaw's responsibilities at Saint Vincent Clinic include pre-qualifying new patients, overseeing patients scheduling, managing clinic staff, making presentations about the clinic and managing the daily operations of the clinic.


Gloria Guerra, Clinic Manager

Ms. Guerra has served as clinic manager at Duchesne Clinic for seven years. Ms. Guerra, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, handles clinic administration. She manages clerical personnel and translators. She oversees the pre-qualification of patients, appointment scheduling, ordering supplies and other administrative tasks.
